Regis Healthcare has published its second Sustainability Report on its social and environmental performance and impacts.
Regis Healthcare Managing Director & CEO, Linda Mellors, welcomed the Report’s release and reiterated the company’s commitment to embedding a company-wide culture of environmental, social and economic sustainability. In pursuing our vision of “promoting and enhancing the quality of life of residents, we acknowledge the environmental and social impacts of our operations and are committed to actively managing and minimising our carbon footprint,” Dr Mellors said. “We recognise that our company has an impact on all of our stakeholders, including our Aged Care and Retirement Village residents, Home Care clients and our employees, as well as the wider public and community. We recognise the benefits of sustainability and the need to focus on reducing our environmental footprint through delivering homes that are more operationally efficient. We know that we can combine these efforts to improve resident health and wellbeing.”
The Sustainability Report provides a number of examples that demonstrate Regis’ commitment to sustainability and also outlines future areas of improvement.
“Regis Healthcare looks forward to continuing this important conversation across our industry and stakeholder networks and driving meaningful action that supports and enhances social, environmental and economic opportunity and resilience over the long term,” Dr Mellors said.
