Our community at Regis Elermore Vale has been working collaboratively on a project to upcycle some tired outdoor furniture. All hands were on deck, with residents, volunteers and employees getting stuck in. Resident Ken expressed that he loved working on the project as it reminded him of when he used to build wooden toys for children at Christmas; donating them to the Salvation Army to hand out during the festive season.
Juanita, our Lifestyle Coordinator at the Home, shared that her highlight of the day was “observing the interaction between residents and staff, and seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter!”
Throughout the afternoon, you could hear the chatter amongst our residents as new friendships were forged. Jock and John could be overheard discussing what life was like on the farm, Tom and George hit it off so much that they got together later in the week for Happy Hour, and Eric and Doug could be found this morning together in our cooking group.
