Jennifer Hadley is one of our Assistants in Nursing at Regis Caboolture and is celebrating thirty years at Regis this year. She is one of the longest-serving employees in our Regis family.
She joined in 1991 and decided to work in the aged care sector. It was her grandfather’s condition that inspired her to work and help the elderly as he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Jennifer shared with us that she wanted to challenge herself and she hasn’t looked back since.
Jennifer finds herself busy every day at Regis Caboolture. She typically starts her day caring for and chatting with our residents in the morning. She loves working with the residents and learns to understand their challenges and needs and puts an emphasis on learning more about their lives.
Jennifer values teamwork in Regis and is grateful that everyone is supportive of her. When asked what she likes most about the role, she replied that the hours suit her lifestyle.
For those who want to start a career in aged care, she said, “Go for it, you need to have compassion, love for what you do and enjoy what you do.”
Outside of work, Jennifer keeps herself fit and healthy by going to the gym and taking long walks. She also loves going to the beach!
