Ocean views. Sea breeze. Dogs to pet. These are just three reasons why our Port Coogee residents cherish their daily morning walks down by the marina, which is just outside their front door.
We have a dedicated group of walkers who take up this opportunity every day, often accompanied by family members and our team of carers. This walk offers a rich experience of bird watching, friendly dogs, cheerful neighbours and marine life — residents are sometimes lucky enough to even get a glimpse of dolphins!
“Living here is wonderful because I enjoy walking outside. I go with the walking group in the morning and later go out with my family when they come to visit me,” resident Teresa said. “The other walkers also have the same philosophy.”
These walks provide a great opportunity for our carers to enhance their connection with our residents and learn more about them.
