Last week, 80 residents across all our Victorian Homes and our valued carers and team members enjoyed a cruise along the Yarra River.
The first blush of summer sunshine made it the perfect time to get out on the water and experience the best that Melbourne has to offer, such as the MCG, Flinders Street Station and the Arts Centre.
Running audio commentary also provided fascinating historical anecdotes that made the journey a delight.
This outing was also the first to feature residents from our newly opened Regis Camberwell home, which began taking residents from 18 November.
One of our residents, Thelma Peterson said, “The boat cruise was very well organised and highly enjoyable. It was a great day for a cruise.”
“It was excellent. It was good to see residents and employees enjoying the cruise,” said Donald Todd, also from Regis Camberwell.
Regis Cranbourne’s Lifestyle Coordinator said, “Yesterday’s Yarra River cruise was absolutely wonderful. The sun was shining, the residents were full of joy, and the atmosphere was truly uplifting. Everyone got along so well, with plenty of conversation, laughter and smiles all around. It was a day with happiness and unforgettable moments for everyone.”
