Sharon, a keen dancer and dancing teacher, recently damaged her Achilles tendon limiting her ability to both walk and dance. After being referred to the Regis Eastern Metro Day Therapy Centre under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Sharon underwent five sessions to get her back on the mend. Her goal to comfortably return to her hobby formed the basis of her treatment plan.
With these sessions, plus performing regular exercises at home, Sharon was able to return to dance and incredibly performed 34 dance routines in one afternoon after recovering from her injury. She is now continuing with a structured exercise program with our Exercise Physiologist to help prevent Achilles pain and strengthen her muscles.
