As our Sustainability Month comes to a close at Regis, there is no doubt that our eco-warrior residents and staff will continue to do their part to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. Our East Malvern home in Victoria engaged in a full range of activities over the month, including making fertiliser from coffee grinds, picking fresh parsley from our stunning garden, collecting over 9kg of batteries, and having our wonderful volunteer Alan help refurbish the vegetable and herb garden for our resident to enjoy.
Regis recognises that as one of the leading Australian aged care companies, we have an important role to play in sustainability. Whilst this issue is not unique to aged care, with the growth in the aged care sector linked to the increasing population age, we believe there is a sound social, environmental and economic basis to address.
