We are honoured to be selected for Eco Fashion Week Australia’s (EFWA) Closet of the Anthropocene Fashion Art Exhibition and Runway Show in Florence, Italy.

In May 2025, a stunning, sustainable dress created by the talented residents of Regis Como will be showcased at this prestigious event. After participating in Perth’s Eco Fashion Week in late 2024, our Como residents are thrilled to see their creation recognised on an international stage.

With creativity and care, residents transformed pre-loved garments into a breathtaking new fashion piece. Their design not only reflects their rich life experiences but also highlights the endless possibilities of upcycling.

“Everyone worked together to make it look perfect, and it was absolutely beautiful to see,” shares resident Louisa.

“It just shows what can be achieved with limited resources and knowledge – it feels wonderful to have our hard work acknowledged.”

Guided by Dr. Zuhal Kuvan-Mills, residents brought their dressmaking and design skills to life, demonstrating their enduring creativity and commitment to sustainability.

“By curating an immersive experience that seamlessly merges the beauty of nature with cutting-edge sustainable designs, EFWA aims to inspire and engage a global audience in the conversation about ethical and eco-friendly fashion practices,” says Zuhal.

At Regis, we take immense pride in providing exceptional care and meaningful experiences for our residents. As one of Australia’s largest aged care providers, our extensive network enables us to offer diverse, enriching opportunities. Our unique Lifestyle and Engagement Program is co-created with residents, ensuring activities that are engaging, supportive and aligned with their passions.
