The Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of Aged Care, celebrate organisations that are redefining the ageing experience through innovative business practices, operational strategies, and service models. The Awards recognise industry leaders, influencers, and changemakers who play a significant role in shaping the dynamic landscape of ageing.

Regis was delighted to be announced winners in the category of:

Facility of the Year – Community Engagement Award for our intergenerational partnership with the LifeChanger Foundation, a program that connected our residents with young students to support an increased sense of purpose, worth and connection. The program encourages intergenerational bonds and learnings. This award recognises our efforts to engage older people and ignite purpose through their active participation within the community.

Programme of the Year – Social Engagement Award for our inter-home community events that have successfully connected residents, clients, and the community. It brings different homes together at community events created around resident interests. It forms new friendships, connection and opportunities to reminisce and share stories. This award honours the best social engagement programme that combats social isolation and improves social outcomes for older people.

The Awards were part of the World Ageing Festival which attracted over 6,000 participants, including businesses, healthcare professionals, and innovators from more than 50 countries.

Reflecting on the Awards, Michelle Martella said, “The opportunity to showcase the beautiful, caring community across Regis, truly brought to life Regis’ Vision – ‘To lead aged care with hearts and minds.’ This recognition highlights the exceptional efforts of all who work at Regis and motivates me to continue striving for excellence in every action and interaction. Having this experience with international guests who bring a shared passion and some friendly competition, reminds me of what a privileges it is to embrace and enhance the experience of ageing”
