Gelato! Gelato! The ice cream van was in town and made a stop at our Elermore Vale Home to share sweet treats with our residents. On the menu were waffle cones with caramel, chocolate, and strawberry toppings, as well as smarties, 100s & 1000s, and mini marshmallows that brought out our residents’ inner child. The activity reminded them of wonderful and exciting memories, such as hearing the iconic ice cream van song and rushing down to the end of the street to snap up their tasty dessert. This was a massive hit with our residents, as you can see on their smiling faces, and melted our hearts to see them full of joy and delight. Our employees also couldn’t resist getting in on the fun and may have been caught with chocolate on their faces! The verdict from our residents? Bring back the ice cream van!
