Local MP Bert van Manen unveiled a wonderful transformation at Regis Greenbank on 13 October. The newly refurbished wing is set to provide numerous benefits for residents, their families and employees.
The renovations at Regis Greenbank were primarily focused on revitalising the interior spaces, bringing in fresh paint, flooring, window treatments and upgraded furniture. These changes have created a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment; enhancing the overall quality of life for residents and making their families feel more at home.
Going be resident feedback, the renovations seem to have done just that.
“Wow! It looks very nice. I like the furniture. It’s just like being at home,” Shirley said. “Very lovely. It looks like home.”
Kathleen is also happy with the refurb: “I like it. I like the tables and the chairs. It makes me feel more at home.”
One of the standout features of the renovation is the dining area. It has been redesigned to offer a relaxing and comfortable setting where residents can enjoy their meals. The contemporary, modern, and ambient environment, with its harmonious earthy colours, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating arrangement replicates a café culture, with four residents to a table. This allows residents to share meals with their families during visits, fostering a sense of togetherness.
Regis Greenbank, originally built in the 1980s, currently accommodates 112 residents. While the renovation doesn’t increase the number of residents it can house, it significantly improves their living conditions.
Situated conveniently near Browns Plains shopping centre and just 10 minutes away from the local RSL club, Regis Greenbank offers a range of amenities. These include a café, residents’ library, hairdressing salon and a recreation room with a pool table for everyone’s enjoyment. The Home also boasts peaceful alfresco areas and walkways that allow residents to connect with nature and observe the local wildlife.
With 30 years’ experience, Regis provides residents with the support they need to live life on their terms. The recent renovation at Regis Greenbank offers residents and their families a place where they can thrive and create cherished memories.
