Residents from Regis Holland Park and Regis Yeronga, alongside students from Joachim’s Primary School, recently spent a delightful afternoon getting up close with some wildlife creatures.

The visit offered a unique opportunity for everyone to interact with Australian reptiles and animals, which were carefully tended to by the rangers, giving both residents and students the chance to gently pat and connect with some fascinating creatures.

Resident Brian said, “It’s amazing to see these animals again, and even more special that we get to hold them.”

“The kids here are so excited too. It’s wonderful to have them around us, it brings so much joy,” said resident, Mary.

The event was further enriched by the presence of family and friends of residents, creating an atmosphere of togetherness.

To top it off, the Regis Holland Park catering team also prepared a special surprise; a delightful snake-shaped cake that was enjoyed by all.

At Regis, we are dedicated to creating an environment where residents are not only well cared for, but also fully engage with their community. Intergenerational events such as this enrich the lives of residents by promoting social, cognitive, emotional, and physical health, while also strengthening community bonds.
