The LiveLighter Aged Care Games provide an opportunity for people in care to participate in team activities and gentle competition, whilst experiencing social interaction through adapted game. Regis Como decided to enter a team of residents to participate in the event, which was a highly anticipated day. The residents all had a blast working together, being active and getting competitive with other locals in the community. One resident, Gerry, exclaimed “it was the most fun I’ve had in years.” Another resident, Ted, shared he “loved the competition, the singer and having a dance in the break.” However the highlight to the day was Noodle Hockey, which residents enjoyed so much so they’ve requested it be a regular part of the lifestyle calendar. Bonni, the General Manager of Regis Como, also attended the LiveLighter event and stated “we have a competitive bunch of residents… it was a great day!” Our residents received a ‘thank you’ participation certificate which they all appreciated after a day of fun and laughter.
