At Regis Ringwood, love is in the air. Bob and Jane are fellow residents who met at the Home and have now become soulmates, developing a bond of love and companionship.

Jane, originally from London, found herself at Regis Ringwood where she met Bob, a resident of two years. Jane fondly recalls, “It’s good having him around. He’s wonderful.”

Bob, who describes his time at Regis as “much nicer here, a heck of a lot better,” is a passionate singer. His love for music is evident as he often gets up to sing, even when performers visit the Home. “I just love singing,” he says, and Jane enjoys joining in, making it a special activity they share together.

“Both of us like to go on long walks. Life is about doing something, getting fresh air, and finding someone who shares the same thoughts. We’re very lucky,” shares Jane.

Their bond is evident as they often finish each other’s sentences, showcasing the deep connection they have formed. The couple is also very popular among the residents, often seen waving and interacting with others.

When asked about what advice she would give to those considering a transition to aged care, Jane said, “Just come in here. You don’t want to be on your own. Everyone in the Home looks after each other. It’s a good bunch.”

Jane hopes for a future where they might get married and even get a dog, as they are both dog lovers.

Bob and Jane’s story is a testament to the beautiful relationships that can blossom, regardless of age.
