Mary Jane Smith has been with Regis for 17 years currently working as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Regis Sunraysia. Her career in aged care all started because a friend recommended it to her, and she hasn’t looked back since. Mary Jane loves “seeing residents smile and talking about their lives growing up and their families,” making her work with the elderly community in Mildura so rewarding.
Mary Jane’s day is always something different at work; “you expect the unexpected in cleaning.” She loves her role at Regis, finding “lots of satisfaction with seeing a clean home for our residents.” She also values having an incredible team to work with every day that “support and help each other.”
For anyone considering work in the aged care sector, Mary Jane recommends giving it a go; “You might be surprised, I’ve been here for 17 years.”
When she is not working, Mary Jane loves spending time with her friends and family. She also loves spending time outdoors gardening as well as fishing.
