Last Saturday, our Residential and Home Care teams across Regis Sunraysia and Ontario came together to partake in the Memory Walk & Jog in support of Dementia Australia. Due to the strong connections with our dementia care units, our Regis community in Mildura have participated in this event since 2020 to “give back and participate in a community activity.” After the event was missed in 2021 due to COVID-19, the team in Mildura were especially eager to participate this time around. Employees, friends, and family all participated in the Mildura Memory Walk & Jog, completing anywhere between 2-10km.
Regis was a sponsor of the event providing $2,000 for Dementia Australia, a not-for-profit organisation working to support the approximately 472,000 Australian living with dementia and nearly 1.6 million Australian involved in their care. Everybody at the Memory Walk & Jog had a fantastic day and loved to “engage with a great cause and local event.”
